Terms & Conditions

1. Requesting Services

To request services, you may contact Sourciety via Instagram (@thesourciety), email (services@sourciety.com), or WhatsApp. Your request is considered accepted once we agree orally or in writing via social media, email, or through WhatsApp. The contract is formed based on our communication, any documents or confirmations we send, and these Terms and Conditions.

Once you request a service, we will inform you of the estimated total price. As we source items specifically to order, once we begin working on your request, cancellation may no longer be possible, and you will be required to pay the applicable fees. You may cancel your request for services within 14 days of submission, provided we have not already started sourcing products.

We will not be held liable for any delays due to events beyond our reasonable control.

2. Fees

We charge a service fee structured in tiers based on the value of the item sourced. Certain items, particularly those considered exclusive, rare, or in high demand, may be subject to a premium price reflecting market conditions.

3. Payments

Full payment is required to secure your item. Once you confirm your purchase, please complete payment promptly - 

Upon acceptance of your request, we may require payment card details via a Credit Card Authorization form to secure your request and any future purchases made on your behalf. Once an item is sourced and you confirm your desire to proceed, an invoice will be generated, which is due immediately. Items will not be shipped until payment is received.

Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and credit card. Local credit card payments are subject to a 2.5% + AED 1 surcharge. International credit card payments are subject to a 3.1% + AED 1 surcharge.

You acknowledge and agree that we use MyFatoorah, a UAE Central Bank-licensed payment service provider, to process payment card details. Payments are processed securely through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.

Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation of the order and forfeiture of any deposit paid.

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship via established international couriers, selected based on the item's origin, destination, and reliability at the time of shipment. Shipping costs are calculated separately and added to the total order value.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the item's origin, courier service, and customs processing. Clients are responsible for providing accurate shipping information; we are not liable for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect details provided by the client.

All orders ship with no signature required upon delivery by default. If you would like to add a signature requirement, this can be arranged upon request prior to shipment. Once an item has been dispatched, responsibility for delivery transfers to the courier; we are not liable for loss, damage, or delays occurring during transit, though we will assist with any claims raised against the carrier. 

5. Customs & Duties 

Import taxes/duties are not included in product prices and may vary based on factors such as the retailer, product type, delivery address, and country of dispatch. You are responsible for paying all applicable import taxes/duties.

6. Sourcing & Purchasing Products

Products are sourced from third-party retailers and suppliers. When sourcing products, we may share your personal and delivery details with the relevant retailers to process your order. These details will be stored and processed in accordance with our privacy policy and those of the relevant retailers.

Each retailer has their own processing times, delivery methods, and returns/refund policies. 

Products are your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you provided or collected by you (or a carrier you arrange).

7. Nature of Service & Refund Policy

Product details, images, and descriptions are provided by the retailers and suppliers we source from. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, minor variations in product appearance, finish, or texture may occur and are not guaranteed to match images exactly.

Due to the nature of luxury sourcing, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges, except in the following case:

If an item is found to be damaged or faulty upon inspection by us prior to dispatch to the client, we will first attempt to source a replacement. A refund will only be issued if we are unable to secure a suitable replacement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sourciety shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of our services, except where such liability arises from our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or as otherwise required by law.

Sourciety is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by courier services or customs processing once an item has been dispatched, though we will assist with any claims raised against the relevant carrier. Every effort is made to ensure safe and timely delivery.

9. Modifications to Terms

Sourciety reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. By continuing to use our services after such changes, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms and Conditions.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sourciety operates.

By engaging with Sourciety's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
